My letter to you: Thank you

Since today is Thanksgiving I just want to express the amount of gratitude I have for all of you.

To all of my work friends— I am so grateful to have met all of you and work along side you this past year. There were days I dreaded work for personal reasons, but you guys have a way of making me smile and feel so loved. You probably didn’t know but you have all collectively picked me up when I felt my self falling into a rabbit hole. For that I am infinitely thankful for. Some of you are moving away soon and some of you already have (Lois, I miss you so much). I will never forget the impact you have made on my life. I am so thankful for each and every single one of you. You have all been nothing but supportive with my blog and giving me wonderful feedback and love. You guys are the reason why I enjoy going to work. We individually have our own challenges but somehow we’re able to celebrate, encourage and support each other. I couldn’t have asked for a better family. I love you guys so much.

I’m tearing up as I’m writing this, because emotions.

Caroline— I’m so grateful that you sat down in front of me in Technical Writing class last year. It’s incredible how we’ve known each other since 6th grade and never became friends until this past year. Never did I think that we’d become so close. Thank you for always supporting me and all of my good and bad decisions. I admire your fierceness, poise, intelligence and love. I will always support you and love you unconditionally.

Nina— even though I barely ever see you, I appreciate you so much. We promise to see each other at least once a month and it ends up being every 3 months but you’re always supportive, loving and just an amazing human being. Thank you for always sending me job postings to help me find something that peaks my interest. You’re a precious soul and I’m glad I nagged you the first day of freshman year over the choker bracelet. I love you to bits and pieces.

To my SGI friends— Thank you for always encouraging me and inspiring me to realize my limitless potential. You guys are a community of people that I am so proud to be a part of. I feel so much joy to be fighting alongside you guys for happiness, human revolution and world peace. Leia, I miss you so much and I love you.

To all of my friends I’ve met abroad— Manuel, Catarina, Lucy, Jony, Julie, Deborah, Barcelona squad, you’ve all made my trips an unforgettable one because of the laughs we shared, nights danced away and the hangovers. Thank you for all of the most incredible memories and I hope to bump into you guys again somewhere in the world. Julie I am so proud of you for following you dreams and becoming the most stunning flight attendant. Johannes— I can’t wait to take on Morocco with the whole squad.

To my internet friends— Thank you for supporting my blog and reading it from different parts of the world. I appreciate you guys so much.

To all of my other friends— I probably haven’t seen you in a while but I do think about you and miss you. I hope you all understand how much of an impact you have on another person’s life and how valuable each of you are.

Last but not least, I’m thankful for my family who has been nothing but supportive of my life decisions. Thank you for never pressuring me to do anything that didn’t make me happy. Thank you for teaching me to put happiness before anything. Thank you for giving me this wonderful opportunity and spread my wings. And thank you for giving me life.

I love you all so much

-Rié
